London Zoo wanted to improve the commentary delivered during feeding time at their penguin enclosure in the hope of developing a less formal relationship between the visitors and their own staff. They were particularly keen to make the feeding time talks more fun and memorable, but still informative and linked to their groundbreaking conservation work.
show me learning worked with the staff at London Zoo to re-script the talks so that they reflected the character of individual penguins, focusing on their relationships and quirky nature. We also introduced life sized penguin props to help the visitors appreciate the differences in species and coached the 'explainers' to react to and interact with the visitors so that the talks became more of a shared experience.
