The National Museum of Scotland commissioned us for a second time to produce a family show for their hands-on Connect Gallery.

The Sounds Amazing show investigates the science of sound whilst exploring a range of musical instruments. Using a singing rod, Folk Harp, Clarinet, Trumpet, Gongs and Bells, as well as two specially built giant guitars, we look at how sounds are made, how they travel from their source to the ear and how they can be altered to produce a range of notes.

Steve Allman of show me learning premiered the show during the October 2006 half term, with the Connect Gallery's own presenters taking over after being trained to 'play' the various instruments.
