The Magic of Light show is a fun and family orientated show produced for the Glasgow Science Centre.
We decided to base the show around a series of magic tricks to help introduce some of the complex ideas linked to light and the electromagnetic spectrum. The tricks included disappearing and reappearing giant Y-fronts, invisible heat rays and the amazing severed head (pictured).
show me learning researched and scripted the show, provided plans for the props (which were manufactured in house by the Glasgow Science Centre), trained the staff and scripted/animated the multimedia.
show me learning's Steve Allman premiered the show in April 2005. The show is now performed by the GSC's own staff and can also be seen at the Sensation (Dundee) and Satrosphere (Aberdeen) science centres.
